Since the forum is starting to get a bit busy now, I figured I'd better post up a rules thread. You're all sensible people and I doubt they'll be any trouble, but it's best to have these up just in case. Dealing with trolls and idiots is not fun.
---------------
Spamming and double-posting
- In short, don't do it. Spamming is filling threads and boards with mindless out-of-context blather, nothing but smilies or just general garbage over and over again. It's not big and it's not clever. It's also bloody annoying for everybody who has to trawl through it to get at the thread.
Double-posting is making a post in the same thread immediately after you've just made one. If you have something to add to your previous post, there's an modify button in the top right-hand corner. Of course, this is wavered if you were the last person to post in a thread and nobody else has replied in several days.
Try not to type like a 12 year old AOL user
Omgomg wtflol imu5in d4 intanets lolKEKEKEKEKE!!!!! ^_^_^_^
L33t is fine. Spelling mistakes are fine. Type constantly like this and you will be beaten to death with D30s.
Don't be a dick
- Fairly obvious this one. Just because you think the Eldar are a bunch of poncey space-elves doesn't mean you have the right to flame the person who thinks they're sexier than Slaanesh in a thong. Debate and argue to your heart's content, but keep it civil. Please don't degrade into childish insults and flame wars.
If you want to know, ask!
- If you're unsure about anything at all on the forums, whether it be a technical issue, a suggestion or anything whatsoever, then ask! Just drop Beardy or myself a line at any time and we'll try to help. It's your forums after all, so feel free to bother us and we'll do our best.
